There are two weeks remaining until my third marathon overall and my second Taipei Marathon, which I completed last year in 4 hours and 50 minutes. This means I am gradually tapering and decreasing my mileage.
After a pretty late night (and the next day's hangover) on my birthday, I figured I'd go for a short, easy-paced run and finish up around Raohe Night Market to grab some food :). I love mixing running with errands or having a goal, whether it's shopping, grabbing dinner, or meeting up with someone. It makes planning things a lot easier.
Monday, as usual, was my volleyball session, which aids in cross-training and provides a break from running. These sessions are typically very enjoyable and help me stay motivated for the coming week.
For the next two days, I completed my usual 6km commute between home and work. After a two-day break, I did another 6km on Saturday during my weekend trip to Taichung to watch some performances.
Altogether, I completed 30km of running along with a volleyball session. Next week, I'll reduce my activity to rest up before the Marathon. I aim to beat my personal best from last year, while also ensuring I don't overexert myself before next month's UltraBackyard event :)
